ScraperMax is a Chrome extension designed to extract publicly available business listings from Google Maps and allow users to export them locally as CSV files.

2. Data Collection

ScraperMax only collects data that is visible on the Google Maps interface when the user actively runs the scraper. This includes:

• Business Name
• Phone Number (if publicly available)
• Address
• Business Category / Type
• Rating
• Website URL

3. How Data Is Used

The collected data is used solely for user convenience and is displayed inside the extension UI. Users may export the data as a CSV file for personal use.

4. Data Storage

All scraped data is stored locally in the user's browser using chrome.storage.local. No data is uploaded to any external server or cloud service.

5. Permissions Usage

• activeTab – Used to interact with the current Google Maps tab when user clicks the extension.
• scripting – Used to inject scraping and UI scripts into the active tab.
• storage – Used to save scraped results locally in the browser.
• tabs – Used to verify the active tab URL and ensure it is Google Maps.
• host permissions (Google Maps) – Used only to run the scraper on Google Maps pages.

6. Third-Party Access

ScraperMax does not send, share, or sell any collected data to third parties.

7. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with Google Maps Terms of Service and local regulations when using scraped data.

8. Security

Since all processing happens locally in the browser, there is no external data transmission, reducing privacy risks.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in future versions of ScraperMax. Users will be notified through extension updates.
